Avoiding “Bad Fit” Employment Relationships Across the Nation

Before Hireway:

The employer<>employee courtship period has always been challenging and risky for both parties.

Neither really knows whether or not they are a good fit for each other.

Employees want to know what the job really requires and what the true company culture is.

Employers want to know that the employee really has the skills and is willing to use them in the way the company desires.

And historically, all that investigatory responsibility has been placed on a series of interviews…

The Problem:

Interviews are great for certain things. Finding out if someone can speak articulately, has prepared for the meeting, and is saying things that align with either the job description or resume.

But we also understand that most people want to present their side of the relationship as being as attractive as possible.

So there’s really no substitute for actually working together as a method to determine whether or not there is a “great fit.”

And many cases, it isn’t a “great fit” and there are no resources available to fill in those gaps, which often involve communication and training.

The Solution:

Before Hireway existed and like many companies, with a little extra motivation from Covid, Founders Bill & Will Black put a new concept to the test in their staffing company.

They built their own onboarding platform and remotely screened & onboarded employees on behalf of their hiring company clients.

And they loved it.

With early learnings in mind, they set out to take their platform to the cloud and add additional capabilities that would streamline the path to “great fit” relationships for companies across the country.
